2017 mtv movie & tv awards
The news is out! The 2017 MTV Movie &
TV Awards will be held on Sunday, May 7th at the Shrine Auditorium in
Los Angeles, CA. This year, we've got a great mix of categories
surrounding your favorite moments in movies and TV. In addition to some
of our favorites like 'Movie of the Year' and 'Best Kiss', we've also
added two brand-new categories: 'Trending' and 'Best Musical Moment.'
You can vote for 'Trending' on movietvawards.mtv.com, while voting for 'Best Musical Moment' will take place exclusively on musical.ly. The last day to vote for both categories is this Sunday, May 7 and the winners will be revealed live during the show!
But wait…there's more. Before the show, tune in to the MTV Movie & TV Awards Festival, Sunday May 7th at 5 pm ET featuring performances by All Time Low, Zara Larsson and Bea Miller. Not enough for you? J. Balvin and Pitbull will hit the stage with Camila Cabello to perform their steamy hit, "Hey Ma." We're also excited to announce that Big Sean will perform his new song "Jump Out the Window" and Noah Cyrus will perform her hit single "Stay Together" - both for the first time on TV. We've also got some movie exclusives coming your way, including a sneak peek of "Spiderman: Homecoming," presented by the film's stars Tom Holland and Zendaya. They'll be warming up with an epic "Lip Sync Battle" at 7:30/6:30c before the biggest party of the year!
