Panathinaikos vs Brondby.. Europa League Live Stream and Match Preview
# Free-scoring Brondby travel to the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium in
Athens on Thursday, August 18 for the first leg of their Europa League
play-off against hosts Panathinaikos, who finished third in Greek
SuperLeague last season.
Panathinaikos have been busy in the summer market having signed a
versatile array of talent including former Metz centre back Nuno Reis,
Cagliari forward Victor Ibarbo on loan, Niklas Hult from Nice, Ivan
Ivanov from Lokomotiv Plovdiv and Christian Ledesma on a free, the
defensive-midfielder who was deemed to be a dependable asset for Serie A
side Lazio for almost a decade but is now a veteran of the game at
33-years of age.

Pana were also busy contesting
a number of pre-season friendlies and returned a mixture of results
including two wins, two draws and three losses. While their most notable
victory was a 4-0 romp over Dutch side Zwolle, they lost 2-1 to Turkish
rivals Fenerbahce in Istanbul.
In competitive
football, Panathinaikos are actually unbeaten thanks to a 3-0 aggregate
triumph over Swedish side AIK in the third qualifying round of the
Europa League in a result that sets them up nicely for the two-legged
Brondby examination.
Brondby are no slouches
and will present Panathinaikos with some hard-pressing questions,
particularly as Brondby are well into their domestic season having
already beaten Silkeborg and drawn AC Horsens and FC Midtjylland in the
Danish Super League.
Brondby also refuse to be
beat, as their 1-0 loss to Hertha Berlin in the first leg of their
third qualifying round of the Europa League is testament to, as they
battled back to claim a 3-1 win in Denmark, edging through to the
play-off round by virtue of a 3-2 aggregate score.
Interestingly,
if Brondby are to score it will likely because of some magic conjured
up by 26-year-old Finish finisher Teemu Pukki, as the striker has
already banked an astonishing 12 goals from nine starts in all
competitions this season, including two hat-tricks and a brace in his
side's last three games.
Panathinaikos welcome
Broncby to the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium in Athens on Thursday,
August 18 for a first leg Europa League play-off clash that kicks-off at
19:00 BST.
